This is the closing credits song of the indie movie, "Spindle", scheduled for release in 2013.
From Cailean: "Creating this song was a two-year journey, starting with my idea to write a song that portrays the relationship between the main character of the movie, Cathode, and the city he lives in. The city is represented as a woman trying to convince a reluctant lover to stay. He is tempted, even though he knows her love for him is as destructive as it is intoxicating.
"The Japanese lyrics of the song portray the voice of hope, encouraging him to leave behind the old, while the English lyrics represent the lover's seduction. She is too proud to simply ask him to stay, and even her attempts to convince him reveal her need to consume him completely.
"I was very lucky to meet Machiko, who was willing to tackle the project, but even that was only the first step. Once she understood my concept, we sat down and hammered out the lyrics, which she then set to music. And then came our biggest challenge: finding a band and a recording studio to finish it.
We finally turned to the talents of Anzak Studios in Manila, the Philippines. Edward, the studio's audio engineer and a fantastic musician in his own right, was intrigued by the piece and agreed to help us out and what he did with the music blew us away. Finally, many miles and many months later, here we are! I hope you enjoy it."
